WS1 · One day · no jargon

Bitcoin, Blockchain & Crypto

Learn what Bitcoin actually is, from the ground up. What money is, where Bitcoin came from, how it works, why there is only one of it, and what the real risks are. No finance background needed. You leave able to judge any crypto claim you hear.

I’m interested
Who it's for

Anyone. No finance or technical background needed.

You'll need

Curiosity. A laptop or phone helps for the live demos, nothing more.

01 / Learn

Get the
idea.

Open a topic to see what we’ll cover.

01

What money is

Every kind of money asks you to trust someone. That is the thread the whole day pulls on.

02

How money evolved

Barter, gold, paper, fiat. What each leap fixed, and what it quietly cost.

03

The problem Bitcoin solves

Keeping the books with no trusted middleman at all.

04

The cypherpunks

A mailing list of cryptographers in the 90s who believed privacy and money should not need permission. Bitcoin's philosophy starts here, not in 2008.

05

The failed attempts

DigiCash, Hashcash, b-money, Bit Gold. Each solved one piece. Each died on the same problem: someone still had to be trusted in the middle.

06

Why 2008 mattered

Banks failing, bailouts, and Bitcoin's first block carrying a newspaper headline about them. It is a response, not a coincidence.

07

Satoshi's move

The missing piece that made the decades-long dream finally work, and why staying anonymous was part of the design.

08

The philosophy underneath

Money without permission, rules without rulers, verify instead of trust. You can disagree with it, but you should know what it actually claims.

09

How it works

Keys, blocks, mining, and the 21 million cap written in the code.

10

A system and a currency

The dollar is not just the note in your wallet. It is banks, a central bank, payment rails. Bitcoin has exactly the same shape.

11

Why there is only one Bitcoin

You can copy the code tomorrow. You can never copy the position. The game theory of why.

12

The rest of crypto

Ethereum, stablecoins, and the thousands of other coins, each in a sentence. The depth stays on Bitcoin.

13

The real risks

What can actually go wrong, and the Indian rules and tax picture in plain terms.

02 / Try it

Put it
to work.

Things you’ll practise during the workshop.

  1. 01

Read a block explorer: see transactions land and follow a bitcoin between addresses.

  2. 02

Explain Bitcoin to someone else in three sentences, without the jargon.

  3. 03

Judge any crypto claim: what to ask, what to ignore, how to tell a real project from a pump.

  4. 04

Know what owning bitcoin actually means: controlling a key, and what happens if you lose it.

03 / Make it

Your laptop.
Your turn.

Work through these exercises using your own material.

  1. 01

Open a block explorer, watch real transactions land, and follow one bitcoin between addresses.

  2. 02

Take a real crypto headline from this week and judge it with the framework.

Questions, answered

Do I need any technical or finance background?

None. We start from 'what is money?' and build every idea from the ground up, in plain English. If you have never touched crypto, you are exactly who this is for.

Will I have to buy any Bitcoin?

No. Bring nothing financial. The day is about understanding how it works. Any decision to buy or hold crypto is entirely your own, for later, with eyes open.

Is this financial advice?

No. This is education on how the technology works so you can make your own informed decisions. Nothing here is financial or legal advice.

Is crypto legal in India?

Yes, with rules. We cover the current regulatory and tax picture in plain terms so you know where things stand. Context, not legal advice.

I have tried to 'get' crypto before and bounced off. Will this be different?

That is the whole reason this exists. We go in order, as one story: what money is, where Bitcoin came from, how it works. Each part builds on the last, so by the end it fits together instead of floating around as disconnected facts.
